Coursework and Examination Credit for Part IIB of the Engineering Tripos
2016-2017
The Examiners for the Engineering Tripos Part IIB to be taken in 2017 will take account of coursework produced by candidates. The Faculty Board has determined that this shall consist of coursework with the requirements and total marks available set out below.

a 1.5 hour written paper | 60 marks | |
a written paper and coursework | 45 and 15 marks respectively | |
coursework alone | 60 marks | |
a dissertation | 60 marks | |
Project | 360 marks in total | |
Michaelmas presentation | 20 marks | |
Technical milestone report | 40 marks | |
Progress and industry (Michaelmas meetings) | 20 marks | |
Progress and industry (Lent meetings) | 20 marks | |
Progress and industry (Overall) | 20 marks | |
Final report | 200 marks | |
Final presentation | 40 marks | |
Grand total | 840 marks |
Students are expected to undertake all the coursework as specified above. Details of allowances approved by the Faculty Board can be found in the allowance document on CUED' undergraduate teaching web site. Work submitted for marking must be that of the student who submits it, as defined in the plagiarism, cooperating and cheating guidelines.
